Description
Fanny holds degrees in European Politics (2009, Paris 8; 2011, ULB) and Environmental Science and Management (2016, ULB) and is a PhD student at Sonya. After a dissertation on the fossil fuel divestment movement, she is pursuing her research on climate activism in a thesis supervised by Edwin Zaccai and Tom Bauler. This dissertation is supported by the FNRS through a fellowship (2017-2021) and the Van Buuren-Jaumotte-Demoulin Foundation (2022).

Fields of activities
Fanny's thesis is entitled "Building the Climate Justice Movement in Europe. Infrastructures and processes". It aims to update research on the climate justice movement in Europe, while proposing a conceptualization of "movement building". It is based on an ethnographic and engaged investigation of several years (2017-2021) in two countries (Belgium and Germany), and in transnational activist networks such as Climate Justice Action (CJA). The theoretical registers mobilized in this thesis are multiple, from the sociology of social movements to gender studies, from critical human geography to organizational studies, from social psychology to political science.
